Membership in the Boston Map Society is open to anyone with an interest in maps. Our current membership includes collectors, librarians, researchers, dealers and cartographers. Though predominantly living in New England, the members of the Society include a number of people who live outside this area, but who want to support the activities of the Society, receive its newsletter, and perhaps attend Society meetings when they are in the Boston area.

With membership comes invitations to the meetings, lectures and field trips of the Society (see schedule), as well as the Boston Map Society newsletter, which is published approximately twice a year and contains informative articles about various aspects of cartography and about the activities of the Society.

Membership is on an annual basis. Basic dues are $35 per year. As a non-profit organization whose activities are completely funded by its members, additional contributions are greatly welcome (and are tax deductible).
